NRB were awarded the contract to build the original Medical Centre on a particularly difficult site which required deeply bored piles in close proximity to the Bury trunk sewer. 

 Additional facilities were required following an increase in the Practice requirements, culminating in the need for a large two storey extension.  NRB Construction Management Ltd. were invited back to undertake this second phase of construction.

 The new extension provided vital treatment and consultation rooms, offices, waiting areas, storage and W.C. facilities.

 With the Government committed to the National Health Service this was seen as a prime example of improving care requirements in the community. As a result of this David Cameron was delighted to cut the first sod for the new extension
