  • Duration: 15 weeks

This 15-week project was undertaken in the depths of winter and consisted of converting an old derelict former post office, including restoring many of the buildings original features, into a bright new office environment.

The transformation was both external and internal, with the external works involving extensive roof works, demolition and rebuild of the existing chimney stack, new roof rafters, installation of an environmentally friendly conservation roof light and repointing all areas of the building.

New sash windows, in keeping with the buildings original design were reintroduced, along with steel supports for the new frontage.  Doors, a security access system and DDA compliant building access was also provided.

Internally timber treatment was undertaken along with structural strengthening to the staircases, full mechanical and electrical services and upgraded water services were introduced.  A full internal fit out was then embarked on which included decoration, flooring and blinds.
